AZ: Pastor who helped ex-cons, sex-offenders killed in home invasion

A pastor known for his outreach to addicts, homeless ex-convicts and sex offenders was killed Friday night in a home invasion in central Phoenix.

Jack Moriarty, whose imposing figure, tattoos and thick goatee made him look more like a biker than a preacher, was shot to death at about 8:30 p.m. Friday after two unknown suspects entered a home near 20th Avenue and Monroe Street, police said. Full Article

Some of the people Moriarty sought to help were among society’s most reviled, feared and ostracized – former sex offenders????

Oh; OK. lets make sure registrants are kept at the top of the most hated, and in need of many more laws to protect children from them list, even though I can’t recall the last time a registrant anywhere in the country did a home invasion and murdered the homes occupants.

How come the perpetrators aren’t described as “reviled,” or “feared?” Are the people of AZ so brainwashed and ill informed as to fear a registrant more than murderers and robbers? They sound like Californians; (puke!!!) It sounds to me like the fact that this good man helped people in need, and displayed no prejudice towards registrants and helped them too is a much bigger deal than the fact that AZ seems to have people they know not much to nothing about running around, who don’t think doing a home invasion and murdering people isn’t a big deal.

I feel like I live in the land of idiots, who have waaay too much trust and faith in the truthfulness and honesty of people they shouldn’t trust.

Jack Moriarty’s work is not done. He had planted countless of seeds and have watered equal amount. Jack’s investments had and will reap glorious awards, both now and eternally. What the devil thought he had killed, actually, cause the fruits of Jack’s labors too multiply. I do not know Pastor Moriarty, however, I will recognize him when I get to “That City” because of the glow of his crown. Well done!

Hmm, yet these home invaders and murderers aren’t on a registry, because I guess they’re not dangerous? …but if they had gone in and first raped or sexually assaulted someone, then they’re “pedophiles” and need to be on the registry?
